By switching to bar soap, you are doing your part to create a plastic-free future! 🌎
Our soaps are lovingly handmade in small batches at room temperature without any artificial heating or cooling. These soaps may have natural rough tops or develop glycerine rivers on curing. None of these affect the quality of the soap. In fact, glycerine rivers make the soap even more moisturizing for the skin. Our soaps are cut by hand into 1 inch thick bars. This personal approach allows for a unique variation in size, color, and weight. We appreciate you buying our products as we ensure every batch and its effects are declared honestly.
What are glycerin rivers?
Glycerin is a naturally occurring byproduct of the soapmaking process. It adds cleansing properties and attracts moisture to the skin so it stays hydrated. In short, glycerin is one of the things that makes handmade soap so amazing. In fact, glycerine rivers make the soap even more moisturizing for the skin.
What are soap cracks?
Once the soap is poured into the mold, it may go through a gel phase. The soap becomes hottest in the center and tends to cool down toward the outside. As the heat makes its way out of the soap, it causes the soap to expand slightly. This can cause a crack on the outside.
